Brief overview of the Cell:

Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC), College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University (I), Lembucherra, Tripura was constituted initially with four (4) members on 23rd January, 2018 with a view to approve and periodically review the bio-ethical aspects of the research project and experiments which involve live animals. The committee was re-constituted with six (6) members including a veterinarian on 30th September, 2019 as per the guidelines of Committee for the purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Dept. of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, GOI. Any research paper involving using live or dead vertebrate animal should sign enclosed declaration and take prior approval from the said committee before submitting the paper in any journal for publication.
